From Embroidery to Employment
1. DESIGNING OUR PRODUCTS
Designers in the USA send a product idea to our lead embroidery artist, Rahaf in Zababdeh. She plans embroidered motifs and color schemes. These are approved by our designers and the journey begins!
3. EMPLOYING ARTISANS
For larger orders, Rahaf contracts more female artisans already skilled in tatreez. She visits nine different villages to teach the women the designs and picks up the orders to be shipped to the USA.
The products are sold via our website, Darzah.org. Providing our female artisans with steady employment gives them hope, more opportunity, and changes their lives forever!

2. CARRYING THE DESIGN
Rahaf sends the designs south to the city of Jenin where they are picked up and brought to Halil. There the product can be worked on by the female artisans employed in our Darzah workshop.
